Representative David Price serves on the House Appropriations Committee and is a member of the Appropriations Subcommittees covering homeland security, military construction, and veterans affairs. A recognized leader in foreign policy, he co-chairs the House Democracy Partnership for strengthening parliaments in emerging democracies. Prior to beginning his service in the U.S. Congress in 1987, Dr. Price was a Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at Duke University. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Yale University (1969). Earlier, he earned his Bachelor of Divinity from Yale (1964) and B.A. from UNC-CH (1961), where he was a Morehead Scholar. Dr. Price is the author of four books on U.S. Congress and the American Political System.
